Every review goes through a five-step pipeline before it appears publicly. Here's exactly what happens.
Start by submitting a receipt/invoice photo, a UPI payment screenshot, a bank SMS, or a merchant-issued invite token. Any proof that you genuinely bought the product or service.
Our OCR automatically reads the merchant name, date, amount, and city from your receipt. GSTIN numbers are cross-checked to confirm the state. You never need to type this in manually.
Our system checks the evidence for authenticity: Is the date within the allowed window? Has this receipt been used before? Does the business on the receipt match your selected location?
We check for photo manipulation (error-level analysis), EXIF metadata consistency, and duplicate submissions across all accounts. No single check is absolute โ everything is combined into a Purchase Confidence Score.
Your evidence produces a 0โ100 Purchase Confidence Score. High scores are auto-verified. Borderline cases go to a human reviewer. Low scores or failed checks are rejected.
The threshold is admin-configurable. When our external verification providers are down, we hold items in the queue โ we never auto-publish just because the system is unavailable.
Once purchase-verified, your review text and photos pass through automated and human content moderation โ checking for hate speech, PII, spam, explicit content, and relevance.
Media never goes public until it clears moderation. CSAM is handled as a mandatory legal-reporting matter and is never a routine rejection.
After both verification and moderation pass, your review is published with a Verified Buyer badge. The business can reply and report but cannot edit or delete it.
You receive a notification when your review goes live (or when it is rejected with a reason). You can appeal any rejection.
Not all proof is equal โ here's how we weigh different types.
Never sufficient alone. Only adjusts the score.
If a merchant gives you an invite token (signed link or QR), you can use that instead of a receipt. Without either, you cannot publish on SachhBol โ this is intentional. It's what makes our reviews trustworthy.
No. Your evidence is stored in a private, access-controlled bucket. It is never shown to the public, to the business, or to other users. It is retained only for dispute and legal purposes within the required window.
You can create a provisional listing during submission. It stays hidden from public search until it receives a verified review or admin approval โ so spam listings can't pollute the directory.
No. Businesses can post a public reply and report a review for policy violations. Only a human moderator can remove a review, and only for a genuine policy violation โ not because the business disagrees with the content.
You'll receive a reason. You can submit clearer evidence or a different proof type and re-try. You can also file an appeal, which routes to a human moderator for fresh eyes.
Reviews must be submitted within the configurable window after your purchase date (e.g. 90 days). This prevents old, potentially-outdated experiences from being posted as if they were recent.
